Postbaccalaureate Prehealth Association (PPA)

Mission Statement: The Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Health Association shall be established in recognition of new post-baccalaureate pre-health students' needs for help in adjusting to and navigating the academic and extra-curricular systems of a large university. This organization shall strengthen the student community within the post-baccalaureate pre-health program, and we aim to provide a forum for students to easily communicate with each other regarding academics, professional goals, major medical issues, medical school applications, and community service.

Mission Statement (translation): The PPA is a network of postbac prehealth students. Email an officer if you need information about the postbac program, a student's perspective on the program, advice, or someone to complain to. Students can contact each other through the PPA regarding MCATs, classes, accelerated admissions, study groups, and related topics. This association can serve as a forum for social and academic networking as well as for peer advising.

2006-2007 PPA Officers:

Co-President: Prasann Vachhani
Co-President: Kelly Gallagher
Vice-President: Liz-Ann Bachu
Secretary: Oskar Kizhner
Treasurer: Afra Yehuwalashet
Information Technology Director: Lery PointDuJour
Research Liaison: Yogesh Patel

To Join The PPA: Simply send an email to one of the current officers and you will be added to the email list. This list is separate from the University list (which is how you get emails from Dr. Ukachukwu and Maria Lee). You'll receive PPA emails regarding social events, study groups, apartments, jobs, research, etc. But primarily, this PPA email list is your contact to a network of Rutgers postbac prehealth students.
